Even though i am not an expert in graphical design or so, i used to be a big fan of the design of the old enlightenment logo, and true love lasts forever, i think the new logo is crap, authers of E shall remember just how gracefull and cool does the old logo looks!!!!

can play a little of this...

In a wonderland they lie
Dreaming as the days drift by
Dreaming as the summers die
Ever drifting down the stream
Lingering in the golden gleam
Life, what is it but a dream?

 thoughts

» In Python things dissappear when no one is looking at them, note to myself, always keep someone around to notice you.

Our units of temporal measurement, from seconds on up to months, are so complicated, asymmetrical and disjunctive so as to make coherent mental reckoning in time all but impossible. Indeed, had some tyrannical god contrived to enslave our minds to time, to make it all but impossible for us to escape subjection to sodden routines and unpleasant surprises, he could hardly have done better than handing down our present system. It is like a set of trapezoidal building blocks, with no vertical or horizontal surfaces, like a language in which the simplest thought demands ornate constructions, useless particles and lengthy circumlocutions. Unlike the more successful patterns of language and science, which enable us to face experience boldly or at least level-headedly, our system of temporal calculation silently and persistently encourages our terror of time. ... It is as though architects had to measure length in feet, width in meters and height in ells; as though basic instruction manuals demanded a knowledge of five different languages. It is no wonder then that we often look into our own immediate past or future, last Tuesday or a week from Sunday, with feelings of helpless confusion. ... -- Robert Grudin, `Time and the Art of Living'. -- Excerp from the info page of system routine "date".

 Chat with the author:

INT: Where did you get this interview idea?

AUT: I first saw it in Barla's page and asked him for permission to use the idea in my site.

INT: So this page is just a copy of another site?

AUT: I wouldn't call it like that, i needed a way to express more ideas and stuff in my site and this is just a way to do so, content of the site is different from Barla's.

INT: Hmm, colors are nice, texts are reasonable, but i really feel uncomfortable when i look at the pictures, did you really have to put your pictures like these, the one with the guitar looks like you are posing or sth, and the one with your girlfriend does not seem to be the right stuff to put on your site at this level.

AUT: Err you got me there, i can not tell exactly why i choose those pictures, i like the colors and quality of the pictures and i just felt like putting them so. Probably i will change them soon, or maybe not, dunno.

INT: You said that you had a different idea while designing the site what was that?

AUT: It is just putting as mush text as possible within the site, not in the form like here are some useful information, here are some useful links etc... but more like daily talk stuff, stuff that those of us who roam around the web without a job would like to read. Stuff for the careful and the idle guys.

INT: Hmm, but i don't see that much stuff to read?

AUT: Well its a single nights work, you must be patient, i will work on it more.

INT: Your previous site design seemed more complete and professional than this, why did you change it?

AUT: I got bored of it in the first place, other than that, as i told before i had this text idea. and also the other design was more complex and was working using frames, here this is a single page which i can modify whenever i want to, so it is more appropriate for my ideas.

INT: Well i have run out of questions, thank you and not that bad i shall say.

AUT: Never mind, see you later.

 INT: Bye.

 AUT: Bye.

INT: Hi, can we talk for a while, i wanna discuss with you your new top links within the site?

 AUT: Sure.

INT: I thought that you were against links to other pages within your site at least i thought that was the reason you changed old site, have you change your ideas?

AUT: Conceptually no, you see i was looking for a top banner like picture for the spacing i left on the top of my page, i saw this link structure which looked like the one i had in my previous site, i can't help when i see sth. like this i have to try it on somehow so i added it to my site and now i think it fits my page. I still need a top bar though.

INT: Still you placed some valuable info in the links doesn't that bother you as some info will be reachable by a link and not readable from your main page.

AUT: No i don't really bother that, i wouldn't be able to embed my CV within the first page anyways and i already had a link for my pictures, i was preparing an interests page and it would not fit in the main page as well so having links to those pages is ok.

INT: Ok, thx for the discussion gl with the page.

 AUT: Np, anytime.
