Work Experience
|
June August
2001 AYDIN YAZILIM, Ankara, Turkey
Software Engineer (Paid
Internship)
Designed and developed graphical user interfaces of web-based intranet
applications.
Analyzed the requirements of the employees.
Designed and implemented user interfaces for worker attendance sheets that
can be filled through the intranet.
Designed and implemented a database structure for web-based implementations.
Tested and verified the database structure.
July August 2000 BILKENT
UNIVERSITY, Ankara, Turkey
Researcher (Internship)
In a team comprising two professors, four graduate students and three
interns, designed and developed a NLP (Natural Language Processing) System
for lexicographically and morphologically analysing Turkish language, a project
for TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey).
Worked on a project, which finds out the appropriate spaces for a Turkish
sentence, which has no punctuation and space inherent.
Designed data structures for storing Turkish sentences in a HMM (Hidden
Markov Model).
Designed and implemented a HMM for Turkish sentences.
Designed and implemented two novel approaches (Viterbi algorithm and one of
our own) for solving the produced HMM.
