Computational genomics at Bilkent University
At the Lab for Computational Genomics, we develop combinatorial
algorithms to analyze genomic sequence data to discover, genotype, and
phase genomic variants with a special focus on structural variation and
segmental duplication. We are also interested in de
novo genome assembly and transcriptome analysis. We apply our
algorithms to sequence data generated from the genomes of various
organisms including humans to catalog normal variation, find disease
associations, and study genome evolution.
