Textbook: Object-Oriented Software
Engineering, Using UML, Patterns, and Java, 3rd Edition, by Bernd Bruegge
and Allen H. Dutoit, Prentice-Hall, 2010, ISBN-10: 0136066836.
Prerequisites: CS 102 & CS 201.
Grading: Attendance (5%), quizzes (15%), term project
(40%), midterm (15%), final exam (25%). Those who fail to get a minimum of
30% of the total grade from the project or the final exam are likely to fail
the course.
FZ grade policy: Those who get less than 40% of the
average of the total grades (quizzes, project, midterm exam) before the
final exam will receive an FZ grade and will not be eligible to take the
final exam. These limits are strict.
Important dates. All deadlines are before
14:00.
- October 1, 2013: Submit information about project case.
- November 1, 2013: Deliver Analysis Report.
- Week of November 9, 2013: Midterm
- November 29, 2013: Deliver Design Report.
- December 20, 2013: Deliver Final Report + Code.
- December 24-31, 2013: Presentations.
