Four basic operations:

Left click - briefly press the left mouse button

Right click - briefly press the right mouse button

Double click - briefly press the left mouse button twice in quick succession.

Drag & Drop - Press & hold left mouse button, move the mouse to the desired destination and then release the button. Equivalent to picking an object up and dropping it elsewhere.
