Short-Biography: İbrahim Körpeoğlu received his
Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from University of Maryland at College Park,
both in Computer Science, in 2000 and 1996, respectively. He received
his B.S. degree (summa cum laude) in Computer Engineering, from
Bilkent University in 1994. Since 2002, he is a faculty member in the
Department of Computer Engineering of Bilkent University. Before
that, he worked in several research and development companies in USA
including Ericsson, IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, Bell
Laboratories, and Bell Communications Research (Bellcore). He
received Bilkent University Distinguished Teaching Award in 2006 and
IBM Faculty Award in 2009. He speaks Turkish, English and German. He
is married and has two children. He is a member of ACM and a senior
member of IEEE.
