The project will be designed for Dementia-diseased patients and their caregivers. An application will be designed for patients that will track the patient, have some mind games and reminder notifications. Another application will be designed for caregivers that will monitor the tracks of the patient, configure notifications,safe zones and games, and take reports through the usage of the system.

ApplePie is a social media mobile application which helps people to create their daily plans for android devices. By using ApplePie, people can create and manage their own plans in a certain time and location. In the application, there are two features: first, application is allowing the user to make their own plans according to their demands and second, it is providing suggestions to the user for popular places according to their location. To use the application, the user has to create an account by using their facebook account or e-mail address. Application detects user's default location  with GPS and allows them to set the time for their plan. Additionally, user is allowed to choose some activities they desire to do in a stated time, from the list in the application which will form the schedule. From this schedule user can change the order of the activities or can choose another places. Users also can invite their friends to their plans. To complete the activities that are in the schedule user should check-in and optionally can upload photo. After every check-in user gains applepie for reward. Furthermore, after user sets their location he can see the popular places in that specific location and can choose one of these places to spend his day.

Anotice aims to create an environment that provides users integrity through ananomyty. The belief encapsulated in the project can be realized in the framework of a website enabling the information flow, that is sourced from user inputs as entries to the system such as post entries to a socialmedia-like environment, and by this way boosting the participation of the users to events that are formed by unacquented users. The target environment is the potential users of a university campus - Bilkent University - and their interaction with each other anonymously.

BioPeer is a multiplatform desktop application that allows bioinformatics researchers to share their project data with colleagues in fast and secure way. It will use high throughput UDP based reliable data transfer protocol for data transfers. Data is encrypted before transferring in order to prevent data leakage. Cryptocurrencies lately acquired considerable attention from the public.First cryptocurrency was Bitcoin that was created in 2009 by an unknown person with pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. Its aim was creating a distributed currency that is free from any controlling authority. Bitcoin mining network’s total computation power is 77.46 PetaHash/s5. In comparison, world’s most powerful scientific computation grid BOINC (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing) has a computation power of 7.54 PetaFLOP/s6. Although they are not directly comparable because hashing uses integer operations and BOINC’s power measured in floating point operations, even 1 to 10 scaling makes Bitcoin network as powerful as BOINC network. This computation power mainly used to maintain currency’s integrity. We propose a system where this computation power will be used for scientific computation as well as integrity purposes. We chose genome sequence alignment problem for our initial proposal.

Touravel is the ultimate mobile application designed to be used for all kinds of traveling and go-outs. Apart from backpackers, globetrotters and the low-budget travelers who have been primarily targeted as main users, all the active and out people are the potential users for the app.Basically, the idea is to generate content out of the tour experiences of the users and enable them to share that content, which includes various data and stats such as the path followed, places visited, activities done and so on. The vision behind the mechanism is that all the data gathering process will be automatised as much as possible so that the app meets the usability goals in the highest level. Furthermore, the social platform side of the app will uniquely serve for any traveling and activity purposes. Touravel is hopefully going to be the all-in-one service that satisfies any kind of demands on the road.

Gathering information on Internet before doing an activity such as buying a product or service, watching a movie, booking a room on a hotel, having a meal in a restaurant is getting more and more common. There are lots of services that give their users access to such information and an opportunity to let others learn about their opinions and experiences on Internet. But all these information is scattered all around the Internet on different websites and services. Another problem caused by the abundance of such information is that it gets harder and harder to find quality content among reviews, critics and feedbacks. Our project Critics Land aims to provide a solution to those problems by gathering relevant information such as reviews about a product or service in a single place and providing easy access to quality content by filtering out the impractical information for the users. Critics Land will also search top e-commerce websites and show the price listings of a product to the user if it is available online and will rate the products or services by analyzing comments published in trustworthy websites. It will also allow users to view and compare ratings of different features of a product, for example comparing soundtrack rating of two movies or comparing battery lives of two cellphones.

GeoTune is a location-based mobile music platform that will be available on Android. The application records details of each track the user listens to, either directly from the interface of GeoTune, or Spotify (Android) and matches these information with the exact location of the user when he listens to the track on the map. By means of this, there will be a very large data set which contains the information of which track every user listens to and where it is listened in progress of time. By grouping and scrapping these data, the information of actual number of people listening to each track in a specific region will be obtained. In this way, when the user wants to see and listen to popular tracks in which region he is located, GeoTune presents some charts, including Top Tracks, Top Artists, and Top Albums. Moreover, the user will not just listen to the playlist of top tracks in the region he is located. The playlist which is specialized for a region includes the recommended tracks which are derived from top tracks. On the other hand, using a mapping interface, the user can mark wherever he wants and see the charts and listen to the playlist of other regions with ease. In other words, a user from Bilkent University not just listens to the playlist of Bilkent, he can also listen to the playlist of Kızılay, or even a region locates at far end of the world!

Time is getting more important than ever in every passing day. People are very busy and they are always in a hurry. In order to gain time most of the people eat fast foods in their daily lives. People move away from restaurant concept and they prefer standing, quick and most of the time unhealthy foods. When we think about the reasons why most of the people don’t prefer restaurants we come up with two main problems. First one is that people hesitate if they can find an empty table or not and they also don’t want to waste time for searching for the restaurants’ telephone number and making reservation. The second reason is that they don’t want to wait for the preparation of the food for too long. In order to offer a practical solution to this problem, we decided to develop a mobile and a desktop application. The mobile application will be the one with which the users interact. The desktop version will be for the restaurants to keep themselves updated about the reservations and orders.

In the recent age, because of increase in production, consumption has been placed in the center of our lives. People frequently buy things and companies want to sell more. To attract customers, companies make various campaigns such as discounts, promotions, gift coupons. They make such campaigns so frequently that they make discounts and give promotions at the end of periods, before holidays, before New Year’s Day, before Mother’s day, before Father’s Day, etc. Companies need to inform customers about their campaigns, therefore they continuously make advertisements.
We are planning to develop a location based mobile application for Android OS to solve this problem. In our application, all stores can advertise their campaigns with their locations. Therefore, customer not only see campaigns under categories but also can see campaigns of nearby stores. They can follow some stores and get notifications when a new campaign is released by their favorite store or when they enter the region of their favorite store.

JamAlive’s  target  audience  is  everyone  interested  in  music especially  the  musicians  who wants  to  show  their  work.  People  can  use  JamAlive  with  or  without  registration  system. Registration system  is  free  and  has  some  benefits.  Users  that  registered  to system  can  give concerts and have unique profiles. Profiles include profile photo , brief information and tags. Tags  are  search  parameters which  people  can  find  related  music  type  according  to  it.  Users with profiles can follow people and interact with them.

Our aim is to develop an efficient way for detecting light sources and other environmental variables using a camera in real-time and use this information for real-time photorealistic rendering in the same environment for Augmented Reality (AR) applications. Classical AR applications on mobile platforms use the camera of the mobile device for capturing images of the real world, and display the augmented view on the screen of the device. Our idea is that the device itself can be placed into the real world to simulate a surface; and the materials with true sizes and colors can be augmented using the environmental variables captured by the camera of the device and displayed on the screen. The same technology can be used to render 3D objects on the screens of mobile devices based on the changing lighting in the environment; or performing more photorealistic renderings in classical AR application that use eyeglasses or head-mounted displays to place virtual objects on the real world by putting an extra camera to the location of the placement.

Our senior project's name is Clewear. The topic of the project is to develop an application that helps people in process of decision of clothing. People who use this application will take a photo of themselves while trying and send it to their friends to ask their opinions. They can also put tags on photos and post them on their home feed. The application makes suggestions according to users' favourite products, likes and previously bought products. Also, it enables user to search any clothing item in specified clothing company by just typing the name of the product in search bar. The application will work in mobile devices and web so that it can be implemented other platforms.

Developing a tool that uses machine learning algorithms to assess an individual's emotional state based on inputs from physiological sensors such as blood pressure, heart rate, galvanic skin response, EEG, EMG etc.This tool will have a generic interface which will be adaptive for any application cases of customers. Any application can make use of this tool based on its context. For example a gaming company can use it to provide a more interactive gaming experience by adjusting some game mechanics with the information from our tool, a car company can use our tool to assess the driver's biological condition and prompt user with alerts and etc.

Medi-Advisor is a mobile application recommends the patient diagnosis for possible illnesses . It works like a recommendation engine. User enters the data regarding his/her health such as blood pressure, blood test results, weight, height, age etc... Our application gathers these information and transmit them to his/her doctor so that relevant treatment can be done by the doctor. User can also get notifications for his/her pills on time, if patient forgets to take that pill on that time, he/she can enter this to the system and informs the doctor. So that the doctor can do proper arrangements.

Have you ever been frustrated by disorganized hotels and their service? "The Receptionist" will aim to solve this problem with providing simple interface. We decided to create a system which will provide stronger communication between hotel employees and their guests. It will be implemented in two main platforms (mobile and web) for wider usability. Then, we will serve this system to the hotels and support it with our team. With our project, guests can follow hotel activities, request room service, and talk with hotel employees without consulting a real receptionist. There will be a lot of features like these and they will be determined by hotels' demand. Also, employees can use this system for update of an activity, announcements or monitoring requests from the rooms
