Check, Please! is an mobile payment application which helps both
the manager and customer in restaurants. Customers can easily order their
meal and pay their checks by their personal mobile phones with scanning a QR
code. Also, restaurant owners can verify the payments simultaneously. The
information of the credit cards will be kept in our database system as
encrypted data for security. Consequently, managers cannot reach any
information of user’s credit card while he or she can check whether the
payment is done or not. |

Code & Conquer is a strategy game which will
be implemented as a desktop application. The main difference of the game from
other strategy games is the way to play. Generally in the strategy games,
player should gather golds, stones, woods etc. to create soldiers and they do
it by creating some workers and farmers, and then send them to the relative
work area. However in Code & Conquer, the player should answer the specific code related questions to gain points. Then s/he can use the points to create soldiers, towers, buildings etc. in order to defend its base against waves of enemies. The way to create his/her defence is that the player will face programming questions with different difficulties according to the object that s/he wants to create. These questions will be about syntax error fixes, output estimation or writing specific purposed programs. If the answer is correct, player will gain amount of points according to the difficulty of the question. The game will end after the last wave is defeated. The game can be played by a single player against computer. There will be three difficulty levels and the army power and question difficulty will change accordingly. The player can save the game and continue it later. The high scores also will be held by a database. |

Our senior year design project is a mobile
android application called “Doorman”. Doorman is a system that does real
doorman’s job. System will provide easy access to shops in the housing
complex. People can order what they need whenever they want by only using a
single screen which is work with android and mounted in house or their mobile
devices. In addition, there will be an option that call for technical help
like electrics, water, or any simple task like that. This system will be new
in construction business and it will make peoples’ lives easy in every
way. The system will take the order data and save it to the system, after that system will create tables of which products are selling most, what is the main demanding of people. Therefore, the shops can rearrange the orders from manufacturers and get rid of the commodity surplus. Also the shops can make sales for the products with low demand or give some additional packages. The shops will know every data about the demands and products. At the end, by using this project the system will able to collect almost all supplement data of a habitat, what products are consuming much? The question is important for both producers and sellers. |

Find’nWear is an image recognition and a
clothing recommendation platform. After taking a photo of clothing that you like, application will analyze the image and show the similar clothes to the one you snapped, together with some information like their prices, which producer’s products they are. Application will retrieve the data from the online fashion stores in Turkey. It will also suggest the nearby locations/stores where similar clothes can be purchased. |

BilAsk is designed to be a website, a hybrid of a P2P and client-server system, intended for educational use by the Bilkent University undergraduate students. Students can find people who are studying the same course as them at the same moment and interact with them via BilAsk or via outside contact information shared by the other student. From our past experience, we know that taking a course without anyone you know in person can be challenging for a student in terms of logistics, information sharing, discussing and motivation and ease for studying. Our intention is to create an environment for students to easily access all these described above as instant as possible, so that they would not feel the absence of a familiar face. Students need to register by using the Bilkent domain e-mail address in order to provide some security and also prevent abuse. Then, during their study, they will select the particular course they are studying which will be available to other students so that they can interact with each other. |

InfectoMap is a web-based application that
processes data organized from social media,search engine trends and weather
information, and creates a disease diffusion map of Turkey. It will keep
local statistics about proportion of increase in talking or searching about
diseases in social media or search engines, by constantly comparing
previously processed data. When it detects that a person is sick, it will
check her previous whereabouts by looking at her tweet locations, check-ins,
and other content that can reveal her location. It will do that process for
thousands of other people, and it will find various intersection points. By
looking at these intersection points and statistics, the map will show the
risky areas that people should avoid. Also, if a person is sick, there is a high possibility that she caught this disease from a person she sees every day. So, the system will also check her family members, co-workers, school friends, and best friends with the same algorithm. In all processes, weather information will be used and compared with the previous dates, in order to see the effect of weather in catching diseases. |

The project aims a very critical aspect of
employer-employee matching prroblem. Even the most popular web based human
resources systems in TUrkey are lacking a good matching of employer and
employees. The WinnoW project will try to eliminate the incompetent
candidates; then set up interviews with those -still many- candidates and
even then, they may be disappointed by the results. Our project aims to
narrow the applicant array as much as possible so that both employers and
candidate employees don’t waste huge amount of time for pre-recruitment
processes which -predictably- end up frustrating. |
