Agrobotix will be a mobile application developed using Image Analysis and Deep Learning in order to detect different diseases and damaging insects in plants, as well as to make crop maintenance efficient. The aim of our project is to create a new and interactive tool for farmers that will become part of their daily task routine. It will include recommendations on pesticides and their quantities based on the surface area and severity of illness. The application will be able to calculate the optimal time to perform treatments by taking into account weather conditions such as rain and include reminders and records of all crop operations for a particular farm. Furthermore, based on a location radius that includes several neighboring farms and considers these farms’ conditions, the application can notify users of possible exposure to a disease or pest without explicitly disclosing the source. The latter guarantees the protection of user privacy. The most innovative feature of the application will be a platform that connects farmers to paid experts who may offer advice, which makes disease detection more reliable than if it were solely automated and encourages a more frequent use of the app. These features make the app suitable for use by farmers as well as by professionals of the field on a daily basis.

Argus Vision is an application for security and statistical data collection. Our main target is parents, company owners and bankers. Our system consists of one stationary video camera, an a Android mobile application and computer for control panel. The camera will be placed to a fixed place. The users will be able to see the camera’s view from the mobile application and the computer. By using the computer, user will draw lines to determine where he/she wants to get notified when that line is crossed by a person. To determine efficiency in work places, lines can be drawn to the company corridors to count employee traffic during work hours. Parents with little children can also use Argus Vision by placing the camera to the child’s room and drawing a line next to his/her bed. If you want to protect your child, some important documents or goods, you don’t need to waste time checking the camera records in case of a suspicious event.

Autoshop is a photo-editing tool that makes use of cutting edge deep learning techniques to add objects to and remove objects from images. The tool is innovative in the sense that there is no commercial product that can perform context-aware addition and removal of objects. The task of context-aware object addition and removal is challenging since the texture, opacity, brightness and other photographical details of the added object should match those of the background image. Currently, this process is handled by professional photoshoppers and it is quite time-consuming. Hence, Autoshop will allow people to edit their photos effortlessly.

In the last half century, the rate of unhappiness among world has been significantly increasing. This phenomenon does not belong to a certain age area, but to people of all ages above 12. This situation’s effects are too important to be unseen. Humans’ life quality and overall happiness is one of the biggest predeterminations of a healthier, peaceful future for our world. While searching for solutions to this problem, our team came up with Bee+ idea. Bee+(Pronounced: Be[e] Positive) is a mobile application that will help people to achieve a more positive outlook on their life and overcome depressive thought patterns. This will enable our users to gain a new perspective they will carry throughout their lives instead of just making them happy for the day.

Clerk will be a Microsoft Word add-in that is aimed at people who can't use conventional input devices like mouse and keyboard effectively or do not wish to. Once the add-in is launched, the user will be able to work with Word entirely by the way of voice commands, so that use of keyboard and mouse is not needed. Every major functionality of Word will be provided. Clerk will work on any platform that can run Word. The user will be able to dictate their commands by giving voice input from an input device and Clerk will apply their commands in Word. Clerk will also have features to detect errors and misunderstandings, and confirm spelling of words. These features will work by reading the specified text/paragraph back to the user, or spell a specific word. If Word detects a spelling error or encounters a word that is not in the dictionary, Clerk will alert the user. Clerk will also have features to ease navigation inside the document.

Project Coda will be a mobile application designed to make playing instruments more sustainable by making instruments more accessible in terms of cost and mobility. Coda will depend on a system that renders an instrument on the smartphone’s screen and creates an Augmented Reality environment with the use of a Google Cardboard like headset only. Coda will track the hand gestures of the user using the smartphone’s camera, and will provide visual and auditory feedback. In music, a coda (Italian for "tail") is a passage that brings a piece (or a movement) to an end. Our aspiration is that this project will bring us to the end of our journey in Bilkent as in a Coda does in music.

Csion aims to optimize people’s decisions about any subject based on their characteristic behaviours within a short amount of time. We are using Myers-Briggs Personality types to have an initial categorization of the users' characters. This test is highly standardized and is esteemed in the field of psychology. There are 16 unique personalities and each person can find their personality type by solving simple and quick test question. These types have certain borderline character traits that generally conform to the way people behave. Although it is a deciding factor, personality alone is not the only variable when a person makes a decision. The other circumstantial factors such as users' preferences and current mood will also be constantly updated via random questions throughout the day, to be able to give a more personalized result. We will try to identify the problem at hand by asking several questions to the user. According to the given choices, the app will ask the users to indicate the pros and cons of that problem and give a rating for each pro/con where users will also indicate their current mood. Each answer will be labelled as a variable and the result of the pros and cons section will be analysed. After collecting every necessary input, the algorithm will compare the labelled variables with personality variables and it will create an output. The output will be a detailed analysis of the decision at hand, with sections such as emotional and rational aspects of the problem and coherence between the user’s personality traits and the problem itself. The output will show the percentages of people who have the same type of personality who inquired a similar problem as well as whether or not they were happy with the outcome of the decision. This information will be gathered from users by collecting feedback after a certain amount of time has passed since their decision. Finally, the output will indicate a reasonable decision for users.

Drivision is a mobile application for Android platform. This application’s aim is to assist the user and take some weight off the users’ shoulders while they are driving. Our application can warn the driver of possible dangers and improve the driving experience with the features.
The main motivation of the project depends on detection of possible dangers and uncomfortable situations then to warn the driver or make some adjustments independent than the vehicle in the application. We are going to offer an all-in-one package for driving assisting systems (like lane identification, traffic sign recognition etc.)In order to provide these features to the drivers we are going to use several machine learning techniques, that makes our application be able to benefit from the latest prediction techniques to provide insights with low error rate.

Our project is aimed towards visually impaired people. We are hoping to increase the quality of their educational life. They can solve questions and test their knowledge. They can upload their question, create their quiz and share it with other users. Users can upload questions by typing or they can simply upload an image which contains the text of the question, our program will extract it the text from the image. Additionally voice questions can be uploaded, user can record a speech and upload it as question. Users will listen the question via text to speech feature and can answer the question with the help of talkback accessibility feature. If they like users can create custom quiz which will be accessible only by their account and can be modified.

FORSETI is a fake news detection platform for media corporations and politicians. Since social media is used to be as notice lines for media corporations and politicians, delivered data can be manipulated. Therefore, verification of data is important for them. FORSETI offers a fact-checking platform that verifies data in a fast, cheap and confidential way. The platform allows a different kinds of contents such as text and image for data verification. The system gives truth percentage of the content with the help of the fake news detection algorithms and provides references for that percentage. In that way, users can have a clue path for the claimed data and use that path to complete the verification process. Also, FORSETI offers a user-oriented experience for the users by defining truth checking process criteria for each user with their corresponding preference. In that way, FORSETI aims to lessen the effort that is required for data verification and provide a helper tool to the media corporations.

Guido will be an Android application made specifically for smartphones. It will have the ability to create floor plans/layouts using AR technology, edit them live by adding and subtracting new parts, and tag parts of them with visual and written/auditory descriptions. After floor plan Is completed, users can give a generic 3D, bipedal/humanoid agent a skin they wish and place it around the floor plan to fixed locations to serve visitors with generic information about the entire room the plan is made for or some parts of it. The same 3D agent will also be used by visitors of the establishment when they wish to go somewhere, get a certain good or see a certain exhibition/item, where it will act in a similar nature to a GPS navigator and lead the visitor/user where they wish to go and upon arrival inform them about their destination, where description for such exists.

Our project is an online tutoring platform. It aims to connect students who want to take private lessons and teachers who are willing to offer private lessons. However, unlike other private lesson platforms, our project is going to be heavily relying on the concept of online video. This indicates that the lessons will have the option of online videos. The lessons range from elementary school level to college class level. Along with the online videos, the platform provides additional features as a lecture platform. For example, students and teachers can view and modify a shared whiteboard. They can also share an online code editor for coding lectures so that they can write and execute code for specific programming languages. Also, lesson payments are handled by the system.

LikedIt is a program that provide not only evaluating a program by just watching it for viewers, but also a reliable and detailed feedback for owners of videos. The program understands viewer’s like rate by processing his facial expressions, while he is watching the video, and does this in real time! This means we don't need any face recording. After the video is over, a detailed report about the viewer’s like rate and the scene he is most interest in is sent to the owner of the video. This project aims to develop an application which will semantically reconstruct the geometry and the texture of indoor areas (such as a living room) in 3D and allow a user to display this reconstruction either using VR or on a conventional display device (a monitor or a mobile phone display) using a video scan of the area. The user will be able to manipulate the reconstructed objects in 3D space and will also be able to add certain items to the reconstructed scene.

In our senior project, we will design an app that recognizes animals, plants and fungus when the user take a picture of it. When the user take a photo of an animal, Nature’s Call will show its type along with its subtype and other features such as brief information about that animal such as what do they eat, what to they like to do etc. When the user take a photo of a plant, it will show its type and its subtype if there is one, also showing whether it is harmful for people or not. And finally our app will show the information of a fungi when the user take a picture of it. It will show its type, subtype and again it will show whether it is harmful or poisonous or not. We will also include additional features such as useful tips and tricks for the campers such as how to build a camp, know types and how to do a knot etc. Furthermore, we will add animal tracks so that user will learn which animal has been passed by from that track.

Neverwhere will be an iOS application that will enable users to record their memories either manually or automatically. While doing that, the application will also detect clustered photos
that are taken back to back with similar contents, and organize media contents. A problem
arises in the sense that a photo is not a memory. Memories represent special moments in
peoples’ lives. When these moments are compressed into singular frames or videos stuck
inside the frame of a device they lose certain aspects during this transition, such as the
emotions they carry. When a user looks at a photo or a video they can only see it at a fixed
perspective of the person who took it which could cause not getting the intended response
or feelings when they recall or remember that memory. In order to come up with a solution,

Nomad is a mobile application which aims to help travellers explore new places by following a "for travellers, by travellers" approach, in which people can create routes, and others can search a route according to their preference of what type of journey they would like to go on and where they want to explore. Users can add stops to the routes they create on specific locations that they deem worthy of attention, which act as "checkpoints" for other users who follow that route. Using augmented reality, users that create routes can also add tokens to their routes for the route users to find, those who obtain such tokens can get achievements and unlockables.

NOTIVE is a mobile app that tackles this problem by keeping track of different types of activities you would like to do and reminds you of them whenever there is an opportunity to accomplish your wishes. NOTIVE  app enables its users to assess the opportunities in terms of different metrics through a single platform without going through different websites or apps back and forth. NOTIVE's purpose is to simply remind and guide users in a way that will make them not only seize the opportunities but also spend some quality time while doing so.

For some couple of years, the status of Turkish economy has deteriorated. Inflation has been increasing among these years and Turkish Lira has been losing its value against foreign currencies especially American Dollar, and Euro. Thus, the prices of all kinds of products of all kinds of industries (such as technology, fabric, etc.) have been explicitly increasing. Specifically the increasing price of food and beverage industry has a huge effect on peoples' daily lives. When it comes to socializing, especially with friends whether it is a special day or not the economy side of having fun is sometimes becomes a burden on one's shoulders. Therefore, restaurants have special campaigns in order to attract their potential clients to visit their restaurants. They put their low priced or under-sold products to the campaigns for a specific time interval. However, there is no way to announce their campaigns to a social platform except social media to the possible customers. Therefore O-Asis came as an idea to help people to save their time and preserve their economy with less effort compared to searching restaurants blindly on the streets. In a sense O-Asis will bring the streets’ view in a similar way as Google Maps does to the users, in addition to that it will act as an assistance for finding promotions related to restaurants.

This app will be mainly an car pooling application so that students can travel together. Our app will be very similar to already existing carpooling apps such as Uber and BlaBlaCar. Main difference is that users will be strictly students from Bilkent University. Only people who have Bilkent mail address can register to our program. We have noticed that most of the students do not own a car and some of them come from places which are far from Tunus and Sıhhiye ring stops. In order to help them we intend to come up with an app which will make their lives easier.

The general idea is creating a P2P distributed computing system, where one can share their computer's resources (CPU, GPU etc.) for others to use in exchange for a fee. The idea is similar to that of AWS and Microsoft Azure, only this one is not going to have servers for computations; instead the servers will delegate the job to available lenders. Using Rendt, somebody with powerful GPUs in their PCs who may not need them for personal use, at least not all the time, can turn it into profit, and dually, somebody who needs GPUs to run get some work done (train neural networks) but doesn’t have access to any can look for people offering their resources and have access to them without owning any GPUs. Rendt is going to play the role of a match-maker and regulator in such transactions. It will host users that share their resources, along with detailed information about their computing power, types and availability of resources and other relevant information.

SaySL revolves around making it easier for deaf people to communicate with the rest of us who do not know sign language. The premise is that most deaf people are fluent in their dialect of sign language even if they might not being fluent in any spoken language. In order to achieve this, we will develop a smartphone app that will utilize machine learning and gesture detection from live video and translate it to English for the user, who does not understand sign language, and then take text/audio speech input from that user and illustrate it as sign language gestures for the deaf person.

Nowadays, sugar beet is an important harvest of Turkey agriculture. However, quota limitation of the sugar beet factories push the farmers to monopolize and sell their products under their value to the bigger sellers. It causes some local farmers to give up sugar beet production. With the help of So Farm So Good, the farmers will be able to communicate with other local farmers to get their harvest in one quota and establish small cooperatives together. In this way, they will be able to sell their harvest to sugar beet factories even though their own harvest amount is under the factory quota. Also, money and harvest transaction will require confirmation of both farmers and company. This will provide security in company and farmer affairs.

SolarUpp aims to have a feasibility study on solar energy production and efficiency on building rooftops in order to increase usage of green energy. In this web application, solar ratings of rooftops will be calculated by gathered information from images of rooftops. The users will easily find their building’s images by entering their addresses. After finding their buildings, users will be able to choose spaces to plant solar panels on their rooftops. In order to calculate solar energy production, users will have the chance to compare different solar panels and inverters to find optimum solution on their rooftops in terms of cost, size and efficiency.

Our project aims to provide a platform where willing students can find study partners, share course materials and thus help each other. Thanks to StudyB, students will be able to get together with the people who have taken the course by registering to the pages of the courses they have taken after confirming that they are Bilkent students through bilkent emails. On the course pages, students will be able to share course materials such as course notes and questions and help each other. Students who are looking for a study partner will be able to create study rooms and will be able to work together with these groups either face-to-face or in a virtual environment.

Nowadays speech synthesis technologies are very popular and there are lots of text-to-speech applications on the market that read books, articles, docs in an almost human voice. All of them read plain texts without any problems, but when there are mathematical formulas or equations in the text almost all of the text-to-speech applications have trouble with voicing them. However, there are people with visual impairments who do research in mathematics or physics and need to read scientific articles and books, which usually contain lots of formulas and cannot be read by these applications. Sum Of Sounds aims to develop a web application that voices mathematical formulas and equations. Such an application can be useful for both developers of text-to-speech applications and people with visual impairment.

Writing code or reviewing one can be quite tedious and energy draining at times and this tiresome process can result in revisions or codes to be faulty and even inefficient. In order to soften the burden of these works, The Game comes up with several innovative ideas. The classic, repetitive methods can be gruesome and cause disinterest within coders which we want to avoid. The Game focuses on creating a more appealing environment to learn about reviewing codes using game modes such as; challenges with teams or in single form, defect detection. There will be teacher and student user types. Teachers will create and post new challenges and codes to be reviewed, while the students will have to work their way around these challenges and find the defects in these faulty codes. The single player game modes will enhance the students’ problem solving skills while making them more effective, meanwhile the team game modes will help students to work as a team and easily assign the tasks to the most suitable people.

The main goal of the Newspector is to caution readers about possible unreliability and deception in the news. In order to achieve this, Newspector examines the news articles that are currently being read by the user as the user reads them and scans the other credible sources, tries to find the same or very similar claims with the original article and compares them. When it encounters any signs of a contradiction, the automated system interacts with the reader by a warning that contains the problematic claim, the reason for suspicion and the sources of the contrary claims.Newspector will use Natural Language Processing, Text Analysis, Sentimental Analysis algorithms to examıne and make comparisons of news articles.The platform will consist of three layers. The first one will be a web browser plugin that the user installs. The other one will be a web page that the user is directed to. The final one is the main server that executes all the examination algorithms, analysis and comparison processes mentioned before. After the plugin extracts the article and sends it to the server, the server will make its computations and will respond back to the plugin with the possible unreliabilities. Regarding the result coming from the server, the plugin will highlight the claims that may be unreliable in the article and will show a popup that asks the user to follow a path to see the contradicted or supported articles on the Newspector web page where we will also put advertisements to support the development process of the Newspector.

Thoracle is a multi-platform application that enables users to interact with tweet screenshots. For a given tweet screenshot, Thoracle will provide the Twitter link if the corresponding tweet exists. On the other hand, it will inform the user if the tweet screenshot is fake, or if the corresponding tweet is deleted. Thoracle will have add-ons to help the user detect fake news in tweet contents. These add-ons include an AI-powered classifier and a validity discussion forum. One of the goals of Thoracle project is preventing public manipulation caused by fake news through social media. Besides, Thoracle will turn the non-interactive tweet screenshots into real tweets, which can be liked, shared and mentioned in a more convenient way.
