Energy Efficient Data Transmission by Dynamic Radio Range Adjustment in Wireless Sensor Networks
Energy efficient data transmission is one of the most important issues in wireless sensor networks which directly affects the network lifetime. We investigate a data transmission scheme that prolongs the overall network lifetime by dynamically adjusting the radio ranges of the sensor nodes. We try to balance energy consumption over the network by assigning appropriate transmission ranges to sensor nodes in order to prevent them from dying early and making the network disconnected.
