Telecommunication networks and systems operation centers produce vast amounts of alarm events. Network operators face the challenge to identify and visualize the significance and root causes of the system problems in real-time. They aim to keep the number of actions (in terms of ticket generation, site visits, etc.) at an optimal level, thus guaranteeing customer satisfaction at a reasonable cost. We develop a solution for alarm event data analyses, where alarms are captured, correlated, processed to find root-causes and visualize them in real time. The proposed system includes novel methods for streaming data analytics, complex event processing (CEP), and root cause analysis.
