Crowd simulation continually interests the computer graphics and visualization community as well as cognitive science and artificial intelligence researchers. One of the many approaches for simulating crowds is to use emotion contagion models in order to achieve more realistic crowds. In this study, we describe a method for evaluation of crowd simulation models by comparing results with real event and used the evaluation results for improving Durupinar emotional contagion model by tuning the psychological parameters of the crowd. We demonstrated our work by comparing our model with a real event.
