Protecting patients information from an unauthorized user who can assess the sensitive data of a person is of great concern. Although using of high entropy passwords in the encryption methods can decrease the attack of an adversary, it may significantly reduce the efficiency of a system for its users. However, choosing a weak password for an encryption system consequences of data breaches. Towards this end, we propose a framework in order to protect PHRs by implementing Honey Encryption (HE) method that provides reliability and flexibility against the brute-force attacks. In this paper, we ensure that the encryption with invalid keys presents a valid-looking but wrong information of a patient to an adversary.
