A relatively new method for numerically solving fluid equations, the Lattice Boltzmann Method is now being used in many applications successfully, in part due to its parallel nature. We are going to investigate the applications of this method to the analysis and simulation of flooding events and we are going to compare the results with the real-world flood data. We then further explore how 3D visualization of flooding events, mostly solved for 2D case in the literature, affects the analysis results.
