Video World Models with Long Context

 

Dr. Danda Pani Paudel
INSAIT, Sofia University

Bio: Dr. Danda Pani Paudel is a faculty member at INSAIT, Sofia University, specializing in 3D computer vision with a focus on scene representation and understanding through spatial intelligence derived from 3D/4D visual data using vision-language models. His research interests include real-time mapping of dynamic scenes, robust spatial reasoning from multimodal data, and the application of computer vision in robotics, augmented reality, and earth observation. Prior to joining INSAIT in 2023, Dr. Paudel served as a lecturer at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Vision from the University of Bourgogne, CNRS, France, in 2016, following an Erasmus Mundus M.Sc. in Computer Vision. His contributions to the field have been recognized with honors such as the Best Paper Award by the IEEE Computer Society and the "Best of ICCV 2015" by the International Journal of Computer Vision. He is also a Scholar at the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS). Dr. Paudel has co-authored more than 50 papers at the top-tier venues in computer vision and related fields. He has been serving as an Associate Editor of Robotics Automation and Letters, and as a Senior Program Committee member to the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.
