Course Descriptions
If you did summer training in Summer 2026, you will register for the related course (CS299, CS399) in Fall 2026. If you did two trainings in Summer 2026, you will register for both of the courses in Fall 2026. You may need to create an override form for registering for CS399.
Deadline for the submission of your reports will be announced by the department (most likely in late September / early October).
Freqently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Please read this frequently asked questions (FAQ) page first before asking a question. Most probably you will find the answer of your question in that page. If you send us an email for a question that is already answered in the FAQ, you might not get a response.
Do NOT send your e-mails to the coordinators directly, you might not get a response. Only use staj@cs.bilkent.edu.tr for your enquiries after you check our FAQs. If you email to our personal addresses you will not get a response.
Remote/Online Internship
If the company is in Turkiye, remote/online/hybrid internship is NOT allowed this summer.
See FAQ for more details: Is remote internship allowed?
Company/Supervisor
The company where you will do your summer training must be engaged in applications of computer engineering, and the person who guides you must have a computer engineering background.
However, if your supervisor has a background in EE/Software Eng./Information Tech. (i.e., closely related to CS) and they have been working on CS related projects/fields, then it's also OK.
Report
- Due date: Month Day, 2026, Sunday (end of nth week of the semester) Wait for the department to announce!
- Please note that students must register for the related summer training course (CS299 or CS399) in the immediately following semester after the summer training. For example, for a training done during summer, a student must register for the course (and submit the report) in the Fall semester immediately after the summer. Otherwise, the report will not be accepted and the training will be repeated. The students who register the course but fail to submit their report by the end of the deadline will get the grade of "U", which stands for "Unsatisfactory" for this course. The only exception to this rule is the students who are on leave; e.g. for an exchange program, during the Fall semester. They must take the course in the first semester after their leave and submit the report by the end of the 4th week.
- To avoid failure, make sure your report
- follows the Guidelines given below.
- has a separate section/subsection for each of the items under "Evaluation of the Work" of the Summer Training Grade Form.
- follows the style give at Technical Writing Style document below.
