Use Case Specification – Handle Abbreviations

    1. Brief Description

    This use case enables the Budget Analyst to alter the format of abbreviations for data elements titles, etc. in a F&FP Report Break.

     

  2. Flow of Events
    1. Basic Flow - Suppress Data Titles

Definition: Provides the capability to suppress the data element title, and print the abbreviation and data only.

  1. Budget Analyst selects 27 = suppress data titles {sdt}

 

    1. Alternate Flows
      1. Suppress Data Name
      2. Definition: Provides the capability to suppress printing of the data abbreviation, but print the titles.

        1. Budget Analyst selects 37 = suppress data name {sdn}

         

      3. Expand Abbreviations

Definition: Provides the capability to replace the data element abbreviation with its full name.

1. Budget Analyst selects 24 = expand abbreviations {ea}

  2. Budget Analyst - Any interactive user of the ABIDES-FE Report Break. It is assumed that they require reports to analyze the state of the budget.

  4. Budget Analyst is creating or updating a F&FP Report Break.

  6. System produces report with requested changes to default report abbreviations.
