Professional Work

I am currently working as a full time Software Development Engineer in Synectics Ltd Research & Development Group at Bilkent University. Our group is focused on developing Computer Vision algorithms including motion detection, object tracking and classification, human action recognition, camera sabotage detection and fire&smoke detection. We worked previously with visiOprime Ltd and developed various software components of visiOprime's commercial digital CCTV recorders e.g. IP camera streaming modules, stand-alone video player, backward compatibility server and Search Expert (an application to search recorded video content using Computer Vision algorithms for specific objects and/or events).

Research

I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Engineering at Bilkent University. I work under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Güdükbay. Our research is focused on developing Computer Vision algorithms for smart video understanding.
