  • Currently investigating underlying system behind spinal control on neuromuscular motor activity. The main purpose of the research is to solve actuation control via reflex based simple mechanisms and reduce the complexity of control.
  • A parallel focus is on muscle growth and the reliability and self configurability of motor neuron control systems with respect to changing muscle properties.
 

 
M.Sc. in Computer Engineering

  • Major field and thesis is on dynamic locomotion of quadruped robots. Researched back spine architecture for running legged robots. Investigated bio-inspired actuation mechanisms to be used along with passive compliant structures for spinal actuation. A digital copy of the M.Sc. thesis can be found here.
  • Worked on applications of embedded systems, real-time operating systems and embedded computing. Interested in developing brushed/brushless motor control systems.

  • Area of research is bio-inspired autonomous micro-robotics
  • Developed a gecko inspired autonomous amphibious runner robot with compliant foot structure and compliant gait control for land-water terrain transition during locomotion.
  • Worked on micro-scale leg structures and their actuation.

  • Majored in embedded systems technology and applications.
  • Researched and developed a two-wheeled dynamic balancing robot. Worked on locomotion dynamics of various robotic systems.
  • Also worked on projects involving machine learning, computer vision and intelligent machines.
  • For senior year project, developed an embedded medical device special in recognizing stethoscope monitored body sounds. Currently holding patent rights of the device.
